  • You will need to have a referral from your general practitioner (GP) or another specialist.
  • Thereafter, you may ring us to make an appointment. Alternatively, your GP or referring specialist may fax or email the referral through to us. It is now also possible for your GP or referring specialist to fill in your referral on-line via our website.
  • It should be noted that a referral from a general practitioner lasts 12 months validity unless a different expiry is specified on the referral. All referrals from a specialist a maximum of 3 months.
  • We will be in touch with you as soon as we have received your referral to schedule an appointment.
  • An appointment letter will be posted or emailed to you with the appointment confirmation and a patient registration form for you to complete. You can also, on our website, fill in your patient registration form on-line.

If you cannot make your appointment, please contact us on (02) 6162 1886 (for our Deakin office) or (02) 6109 7800 (for our Gungahlin office) as soon as possible so that we can reschedule your appointment and put someone else into the time slot. There will be a fee charged if you fail to attend an appointment without providing at least 48 hours’ notice.

Please bring along comfortable clothing that you would use as if you were exercising. This includes runners or other comfortable footwear. Please also bring a large towel.

No, you should not stop aspirin before your angiogram. If you are also on clopidorel or ticagrelor these medications should also continue. They can be taken on the morning of your procedure with a small sip of water.

The appointment lasts anywhere between 45-75 minutes.

Yes, you will require a referral from your general practitioner (GP). The validity of the referral lasts 12 months, after which you will require a new referral from your general practitioner. It should be noted that referrals from another specialist last for only 3 months.
